Mark Thomas, a bold Aussie had a vision & now deployment of and for his Eco Verde Funeral Supplies to not only to provide an economical, eco-friendly- biodegradable product range to consumers and funeral directors alike, but to do so with an innovative business model that embraces the realities of the modern world.
Mark is a seasoned funeral industry veteran going back to 1992 in Australia & when in 1994 when he first attended with an expo booth & display for Ther Everlasting Urn ® at the annual CANA Convention in Anaheim CA and over many years has added great knowledge, key connections with an enviable expertise in Global procurement and distribution of high-quality funeral supplies.
Mark has respect for the Funeral Directors with great focus & emphasis in supporting the Independents and smaller private operations – yet with a real passion for the general consumer, families at need and to offer top shelf product all with extremely fair and rational pricing.
His business model allows consumers to save many hundreds of dollars & even up to thousands – and much more, all in a changing marketplace, economy and world where the internet grants the Mum & Dad – general consumer education, awareness and a genuine chance to now have the best products at realistic pricing – a real WIN-WIN !

Mark also respectfully says- that while a Funeral Director / Funeral Home may not obtain the traditional and significant mark-up on and via Eco Verde Funeral Products – it’s a business model that actually still grants a fair and free income ( mark-up ) – yet drives the consumer to them for the actual funeral care, services and tasks a Funeral Director – Funeral Home offers, supports and supply.
Eco Verde Funeral Supplies is helping to change the funeral industry from the inside, while at the same time helping to off-set carbon emissions created by the traditional funeral industry.
The level of carbon emissions and toxic chemicals created by conventional funeral practices in the United States is staggering and the consumer is watching very closely he says. You just have to take a look at the growing markets and “Green Options”™ by ECO VERDE Funeral Supplies aligned to a better offerings & a better way of caring for loved ones with so much less impact on our Mother Earth- all while saving serious amounts of cash.
ECO VERDE Funeral Supplies refuses to be part of the pollution problem, so this is why our focus is on Eco-Friendly and sustainably sourced funeral products, to help reduce our carbon footprint.
In the last 10-15 years or so with the huge drive and awareness by Associations such as ( and not limited too ) these listed below are proof the Green Burial – Eco Friendly Funeral marketplace has grown and continues to grow substantially as the consumer becomes more educated & aware of OPTIONS and a BETTER WAY for Funeral Care, Funeral Services and Funeral Products :-

The whole team at ECO VERDE Funeral Supplies aim to put an end to the pollution issue wherever they can when associated with end-of-life care while preserving the customary working relationship between Independent Funeral Directors, Suppliers & end users of eco-friendly funeral supplies.
Mark also advises that any Funeral Homes, Funeral Director or any Consumer should – ( MUST ONLY ) seek and purchase products that have the Creen Burial Council Approval as an INDEPENDENT CERTIFIED & APPROVED PRODUCT – fit for purpose and NO corners cut.
He cautions where a particular Association – a late comer to market ( by default ) is owned-run & controlled by a con-man that offers a range of Funeral Products ( Caskets, Urns, Carriers, Shrouds et.al. ) that have NOT been Independently Certified – and you should ask WHY NOT ! – or giving your cash to a charity would be safer.
Mark offers, hey ring the Green Burial Council and ask them if you might be / and should be concerned. Simply put & calling it as only an Aussie will, SELF PLEDGE is akin to self-gratification & in his honest opinion the said supplier based in NJ is certainly very good at that ! – self gratification is his real specialty.
In Mark’s eyes, knowledge and world there is only ONE worthy independent certification body – namely a prominent Association such as the Green Burial Council with their detail listed above.
Mark also advises in his honest opinion, any Association, Funeral goods supplier or Person who condones and / or offers to “self-certifying” a range of Products and allows ANYONE to sign off by a self-pledge – that is by yourself for yourself is akin to a Fox guarding the Hen House – or a Pedophile being the headmaster at a children’s kindergarten !
Mark strongly advises .. “ BUYER BEWARE ! “ He said, if the product has NOT been Independently Certified – by the likes of The Green Burial Council you should ask & question WHY NOT ? Please DON’T BUY TROUBLE – and BUYER BEWARE is Mark’s strong advise and suggestion in his own honest well healed opinion.

… all can now “Rest in Nature”™
Like most of us in the funeral industry, it wasn’t Mark’s first form of employment. He’s got decades of experience including being a qualified Automotive Mechanic, and where in the mid-80’s started across his native Sydney a successful property maintenance and commercial landscape installation company.
Mark’s entrance into the North American based funeral industry started way back in 1994 when he first arrived into the USA after his investment into a low-cost revolutionary funeral memorial related product known as The Everlasting Urn®.
Mark also during the mid – late 90’s became heavily involved in the pet funeral industry too, as part of a team revamping the pet cremation and urn market as well.
Back in Australia it was a quick turn into building a significant ECO-driven rainwater harvesting & water tank business that wide opened Mark’s eyes to the huge & global environmental impact of our day to day lives, and innovative ideas started coming to him.
The big one being his recently launched ECO VERDE Funeral Supplies and realistic pricing with emphasis on the Consumer.
Mark’s vision and dream is bringing economical, Eco-Friendly funeral products to ecologically minded families across North America and soon to launch in Australia.
When he’s not changing the funeral industry, across North America, Mark is back at home, Down Under in Australia with his wife Gigi and many pets – where he also enjoys boating, swimming, landscaping, and riding one of his many motorcycles.
Mark has loved riding since a lad & he has a hobby in developing his broad collection of dirt bikes, sports bikes, race bikes and road cruisers as he rides with Gigi on a cruiser across & throughout the Hinterland & beach regions about one hour north of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia where he lives when back in Australia.
Mark proudly stands by granting consumers right across North America the opportunity and options to now purchase quality independently certified Eco-Friendly Funeral Products delivered directly to your door.
